Our Story
(Needs Changing 9) The Gaia Initiative was founded in 2015 by a group of passionate environmentalists, scientists, and community leaders who shared a common vision: to create meaningful, lasting change in how humanity interacts with our planet.
Named after Gaia, the Greek goddess of Earth, our organization embodies the principle that all life on Earth is interconnected. We believe that by working together—across borders, cultures, and disciplines—we can address the environmental challenges facing our world today.
What started as a small grassroots movement has grown into a global network of dedicated individuals and organizations. Today, we operate in over 20 countries, implementing sustainable solutions that benefit both people and the planet.
